FOR those of us who have known Ely Hospital for 60 years or more, for ourselves and for friends and family, it would be a tragedy for it to be run down.
It is not easy for everyone to get to Cambridge or Bury St Edmunds instead, whether for ourselves or for visiting. I knew some of the doctors there when it was the RAF Hospital.
