THIS seems ludicrous. As a case of pure logic it appears to be a wild dream to expect the £40,000 [needed by the leisure centre] to be recouped by asking each member or associate for donations. To achieve that it means a donation of £50 from each member!

As a case of pure logic it appears to be a wild dream to expect the £40,000 [needed by the leisure centre] to be recouped by asking each member or associate for donations. To achieve that it means a donation of £50 from each member! Mr Matthews should bow to pressure and do what's best for the centre and resign. If it allows access to other grants and means that the sports centre can still function it seems like an obvious move. This isn't a case of political pressure - this is a case of ego. Step aside so we can increase the chances of our sports centre's survival.
