ER, stop me if I m missing something here, but Liz Bailey, principal environmental officer for ECDC states that the Royal Standard needs a spoken word licence if poetry is to be recited there and threatens swingeing fines if said performances take place.
ER, stop me if I'm missing something here, but Liz Bailey, principal environmental officer for ECDC states that the Royal Standard needs a spoken word licence if poetry is to be recited there and threatens swingeing fines if said performances take place. She tells us that ECDC is not just being petty and that it is for safety reasons. But your report states that the pub is already licensed for musical performances. I am more than willing to believe Liz Bailey is not being petty and stifling culture if she can explain to me how reciting words rather than singing them constitutes any additional hazard.
