WE'VE just enjoyed two excellent performances from the Viva people. Last week the younger members did Aladdin Jr and this week the usual suspects performed Back to the '80s, which they are taking to the Edinburgh Fringe. Back to the '80s was as close as you will get to a sauna without hot coals. It didn't seem to affect the performers, though; the production was as full of singing, dancing and exuberance.

You have to admire their courage. One of their songs is 500 Miles in which they take the rise out of The Proclaimers, mainly for being Scottish. Just how this will go down in Edinburgh is debatable!
