JAKE the spaniel (who, I should point out, has a male owner as well as a female one) has become a bit wary of walks down Bushel Lane of late.

Ever since he noticed the cannon in the front garden of one of the houses down there. As we all know spaniels are gun dogs, but not that size guns! Let's hope the cannon is there to protect the Salvation Army just up the road, not to attack them.

He's also quite fascinated by the flora on the eastern side of Stinky Ditch. He's never seen a hedge of stinging nettles quite that high before and finds it quite frustrating not to be able to stand on three legs in comfort until he reaches Speed Lane.
