THE Soham branch of the Cambridge Building Society has pledged its support to the Ely Standard's Keep It Local Campaign.
The branch, which employs four staff, all from the local area, has been in the High Street in Soham for 13 years and has been a consistently strong supporter of the community.
In recent years, they have got behind such activities as Liam's Mile and have helped to organise and run the Soham Annual Pumpkin Fair, the Isleham Gala Day and various other local school fairs and fund-raisers.
Christmas shoppers will also remember that each December, the branch opens its doors to offer mince pies and wine to those who are finding the scramble for Christmas gifts just a little too much.
Sarah Kitchen, branch supervisor at Soham said, "The Cambridge Building Society as a whole has always been very proud of its community roots, with more branches in the local area than any other bank or building society.
"This local ethos is felt strongly throughout all the branches and we are always keen to do what we can for the community, which is why we are delighted to be supporting the Ely Standard's Keep It Local Campaign."
