The chariot was out of action for a while last week so I took to my feet to get around town. It's always a pleasant wander from Brook Dam to Brook Street along the Causeway footpath. One of the things that spoils it is the number of polystyrene takeaway boxes that have been dropped into the drain that runs beside the path. One excuse could be that there is no rubbish bin on the route, but seeing the amount of litter strewn about the bins outside One Stop, I doubt that any along the footpath would be used anyway. We'll just have to put it down to youthful moronic stupidity. Exactly what we put the disposal of a television set on the path down to I've no idea. Sitting outside in February eating a burger while watching Dancing on Ice doesn't seem like a pleasant way of spending your time.
