THE New York City police force is bigger than all of British police forces put together and has a budget that would make the minister for war cringe!
This country does not need more than one single police force and, frankly, cannot afford the monstrous cost to managing crime than having to fund the nation-wide private members social club of senior police officers of dozens of county seats who charge from golf club to golf club and then onto party after party in their silver liveried chauffeured limousines effecting political stance as they go merrily on their way.
We, in Soham (and others elsewhere), have suffered the indignity of having to wait whilst the Lincolnshire police 'prima donna' decided to let the cat out of the bag about his politicising the release of legitimate important information about a double murder. Using the Privacy Act as a reason for not divulging information, which had specifically been designated as being national data within and surrounding all police forces across the UK was absolutely infamous. Had I been the Home Secretary I would have frog marched him into one of his own cells.
The Privacy Act and the principle of free speech and personal rights do nothing but provide criminals with even greater protection from the innocent in this country and just as long as we keep on mimicking Australia by parroting every stupid apolitical move that is made in that greatest of all imperialist nations called the USA the sooner we will all go down the tube with them.
What we desperately need in this country is truth, justice and democracy ...something we have whined about for generations but have never achieved.
Telling people that they are only allowed to vote (voice their political opinion once every four - five years when it suits the political purpose of one party or the other) is a grave disservice to democracy. Democracy is when we are all encouraged to record our changed/changing political opinions whenever and as often as we wish.
Free speech is only free speech when it is in agreement with current political spin. Free speech should not be tolerated when it impinges improperly and indecently upon another/others. That is either slander or libel and should be hammered into the ground.
The only people who demand privacy are people who are actually in the process of hurting others. That too should be banned.
The value of privacy is in the intrinsic value of anything that is not harmful to others.
Justice has only one weight and that is the square root of innocence ! Anything other than innocence weighs far too heavily upon those who do not deserve the burden of the debt of others.
Crime must be invoiced to the criminal and must be paid in full before justice provides the key to open the prison door.
