WITH the festive season approaching, Sue Ryder Care is offering local residents an easy way to make room for this year's influx of gifts before Santa drops by on Christmas Day.

We are appealing to local residents to sift through their drawers and rummage though their closets and donate any quality unwanted goods to their local Sue Ryder Care shop.

By parting with unwanted items people will be freeing up space in their cupboards as well as providing new Christmas gift ideas for our shoppers.

Proceeds from sales in Sue Ryder Care shops go towards helping the charity provide care for people living with neurological and life-shortening conditions such as Parkinson's Disease, Huntingdon's Disease, multiple sclerosis and cancer.

Last year, with the help of Sue Ryder Care's network of shops, the charity made a million homecare visits; cared for more than 120 people through neurological day services; provided long-term neurological care for more than 400 people in care centres and welcomed 7,500 people to hospice day care centres.
