I HOPE our local councillors will think again about the proposed closure of the toilet at the rear of the High Street. They do not require any refurbishment. We older people need to be sure of finding a toilet as our bladders are not always as reliable as

I HOPE our local councillors will think again about the proposed closure of the toilet at the rear of the High Street. They do not require any refurbishment.

We older people need to be sure of finding a toilet as our bladders are not always as reliable as they once were. Premises that serve food have toilet facilities - but usually only one.

Being in a conservation area, signage is designed to be discreet in Ely. Exceptions should be made for directions to public conveniences.

I would be interested to know how the local authority calculates the attendances in the city's toilets. Do they count the number of toilet rolls used?
