I CAN'T believe local councillors are wasting time and money in the current climate picking on taxi cab companies for having signage that is too large.

We need to able to recognise which cab firm a car belongs to! It could be dark and slashing down with rain and, of course, you could be under the influence of drink. If a cab firm comes to pick you up from home - if it can't stop outside your property then the next thing you look for is the signage on the side of the car when you hear them toot their car horn.
