I WRITE in respect of your article about Sanctuary Hereward. I was once a tenant of theirs and had a few problems. At one stage I contacted James Paice MP and he came to see me and took up my case but was unsuccessful. I then moved to another housing association called Axiom, a sheltered housing complex in Littleport. Before I agreed to take their offer of accommodation I was told what I could expect and how everyone got on well etc etc. From the day I moved in there was a constant banging due to a valve that kept opening and closing to allow water for the heating system to operate which was directly under me. I complained many times about the constant noise day and night and said I was finding it difficult to sleep because of the noise. At one stage they did send someone out who agreed that it did make a noise. That was last summer and it was not fixed when I moved out last November. I am now in privately rented accommodation and am much happier as I have a great landlord.

As far as I am concerned the two housing associations do not treat people like human beings and only see pound signs.
