IN response to Wendy Coulson's letter (Ely Standard September 18) regarding the Veolia Cleanaway workmen.
For the past month I have been putting my recycling out early on Friday morning (fortnightly), only to arrive home in the evening to find the recycling still where I left it. I really try to help the environment and do my bit but it is obvious that Veolia are too busy around Mulberry Way in Ely being 'super-human'.
Anybody who truly believes these men are 'super-human' should come and have a look along Cannon Street in Little Downham on a Friday evening to witness what these 'super-humans' don't do.
I have tried to contact the office to air my grievances but obviously 'super-humans' don't believe in returning telephone calls either.
I have had no option but to just throw my recycling in the bin and just not bother.
