ARE we turning the clocks back to 2008BC or are we still in AD 2008? Ely now seems to have everything it needs. White witches, faith healers, and ghost hunters, that should bring the crowds in. The councillor who contacted this spoof white witches should be made to stand down. No-one can get away from history, whether you like it or not. All this was done about 400 years ago, and who cares anymore? If it rains or the sun shines, it will not be down to our white witch, it's will be down to weather conditions, of no-one's making, and if he can do as he says he can and make it rain, the farmers around the Ely area would be after him and employing him full time as a rain man. They then could do away with all their irrigation machinery, and the cost of growing would go down, but sorry farmers, it never happens. Many farms have tried spraying the clouds with chemicals and it doesn't work. Whether you like Cromwell or not, he was the only man who the guts to stand up to the monarchy and win, and he gave us England to the people, under democratic rule. We now have judges to see a fair trial, as under the King, it was off with head, and that was that. Yes we have a lot thank Oliver Cromwell for, but that's history.
