USUALLY if you sponsor someone to do something for charity you are either paying them money to do something they want to do, or paying them money to do something completely pointless. Starting next Sunday, there is a sponsored event that could well do everyone some good. The people at St Andrew's Church are undertaking to read the Bible from cover to cover. It is being done in ten-minute chunks and they would like volunteers to sign up for the odd 10 minutes here and there.

It wouldn't do you any harm to spend 10 minutes reading the good book. Who knows, you might just get an insight to turn your whole world around in your particular passage.
