THE following day, the blood donation people will be in The Pavilion from 1pm until 3pm and again from 4.30pm until 7pm. It's a good chance to have a lie down, a cup of tea and to get the feeling that you've done something worthwhile with very little effort.
With all the new rules and regulations about who can and cannot give blood these days they need as many people as possible. So if you've never been before nip along on Wednesday and if you have been, but not lately, have another go.
Short of time
SPRING hits on Sunday when we are supposed to stay up until 2am to put the clocks and watches forward one hour. I think I'll cheat again and do them before I go to bed. It does mean that officially Sunday is the shortest day of the year with only 23 hours, so we need to use them carefully. A good way to spend one of the hours we have left would be to go over to Wicken. Some of the supporters of Liam Fairhurst are holding a sale in the Methodist church from noon until 3pm to boost the CLIC Sargent fund that he has worked so hard for.
Entry is free and there are sure to be some real bargains. Further information from Lisa on 01353 720715.
