THERE is an unofficial network of spies working in Soham. Almost every time I venture out in company one of them sidles up and tells me that they have seen a person on the Downfields footbridge.

One lady even saw a dog too. I'm still not convinces how many people have actually used it. It might still be just two, seen by 20 or 30 spies.

If all the sightings are individual users the structure will need renovating in no time. I just hope they don't use the same contractors who worked on the Ely swimming pool!

While we are in Downfields, how much longer can those orange bags last on the pelican crossing down there? They must be almost due for retirement they've been there so long. Presumably by not switching the lights on the highways authority is saving the planet by saving electricity. Or they can't find Soham on the map to come here and activate them.
