THERE appears to be a planning application for a 50-space car park on the site of, you've guessed it, the church hall. That's what the notice on the post outside the hall says, anyway. The whole thing is getting beyond us mere mortals. I think I'll take the advice of the late, great Roy Kinnear who said whenever something's going on that you don't understand, "just smile and nod". I've got a big grin on at the moment and my neck aches. It's a pity Stanley Unwin is no longer with us, I bet he could have explained it.
