For 40 years Harry welcomed royalty and distinguished guests at Wolferton Station en-route to Sandringham House, the Norfolk country home of the royal family.

The launch will be held at King’s Lynn Library on Saturday, April 27, between 2pm - 3.30pm.

Ellee will talk about the inspiration behind her stories, life on the Sandringham estate during WWI and the devastating impact of the Gallipoli campaign on the lives of local people.

Many stories featured in The Royal Station Master’s Daughters in Love are set in King’s Lynn and some were recounted to her by local people about their families’ own experiences during this time.

Ellee, a former journalist on the Lynn News & Advertiser, who now lives in Ely, said:  "I am thrilled to have the chance to share my stories in the community where they are set and would like to thank everyone who shared their own special stories with me."

"Royal station master Harry Saward was one of his kind. He regularly rubbed shoulders with royalty between 1884-1924. He lived at Wolferton with his wife, Sarah, and three daughters, who are the key characters in my books.

"I would like to thank everyone who helped with my research, with a special shout out to Kevin Hitchcock, library assistant and a font of historical knowledge, as well as Richard Brown, owner of Wolferton Station, and Ben Colson, who lives in the Royal Retiring Rooms and is a lead guide at Sandringham House, for their wonderful support."

Library manager Mary Grogan, said: "I am excited to welcome Ellee to the library, and we hope many people can join us and make it a great community event."

Tickets cost £5 and can be booked by calling the library on: 01553 772568 or online.

The Royal Station Master’s Daughters in Love is published on April 25. Ellee’s two previous titles in the series are The Royal Station Master’s Daughters and The Royal Station Master’s Daughters at War.  Signed copies of the books will be on sale on the day.
