Ely Amateur Dramatic Society is set to perform Oliver Goldsmith’s comedy of manners ‘She Stoops to Conquer’ later this month.

Wealthy countryman Mr Hardcastle arranges for his daughter Kate to meet Charles Marlow, the son of a wealthy Londoner, hoping the pair will marry. Unfortunately Marlow is nervous around upper-class women, yet the complete opposite around lower-class females.

Performances take place from Thursday, July 24, to Saturday, July 26, nightly from 7.30pm, at the Prince Albert pub, in Silver Street.

Tickets for the show cost £8 and are available from Burrows Bookshop, of High Street Passage, Ely, or by calling 01353 669759.
