The concert will include traditional seasonal pieces such as We Three Kings, and music from Jethro Tull’s highly acclaimed classic album, Aqualung.

Widely recognised as the man who introduced the flute to rock music, Ian Anderson remains the crowned exponent of the popular and rock genres of flute playing.

Ian is currently celebrating his 45th year as an international recording and performing musician.

Jethro Tull was formed in 1968, and Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull have released 30 studio and live albums, selling more than 60 million copies since the band first performed at London’s famous Marquee Club in February 1968.

After undertaking more than 3000 concerts in 40 countries throughout four decades, Ian has typically played 100-plus concerts each year to longstanding, as well as new fans worldwide.

Living on a farm in the south west of England, Ian has been married to Shona for 37 years and they have two children and two grandchildren.

Thanks to Ian’s generosity and sponsorship, all proceeds from the concert will go to the up keep of Ely Cathedral.

Tickets cost £30, £20 and £15, available from Ely Cathedral box office on 01353 660349 (Monday-Saturday 9.30am-4pm)
