Peter Rabbit is a feel good, fast-paced, vibrant animation with effortlessly cute characters and a message of appreciating animals and wildlife at its heart.

Led by James Corden, voicing the mischievously cute floppy eared Peter Rabbit - who wants to be the hero of the story and make his family proud - it’s a tale of neighbour vs nature as Old Mr McGregor (Sam Neill playing the bearded grumpy old man brilliantly) does everything he can to stop the rabbits, pigs, hedgehogs, badgers and all manner of other animals from helping themselves to his well-tended vegetable patch...

But his creature-loving aspiring painter neighbour Bea (a quintessentially British, caring Rose Byrne playing Beatrix Potter) is having none of it and looks after the animals as if they were her children.

After a strange turn of events Peter, his sisters Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, cousin Benjamin and various other farm animals find themselves causing havoc in the giant house, partying and eating to their hearts content; little do they know things are going to get a whole lot worse with the arrival of Old McGregor’s great nephew Thomas, a posh Harrods manager who loves to be in control of everything....

With a strong voice cast also including Margot Robbie, Daisy Ridley and Australian popstar Sia, as well as standout characters like an eccentric velvet suit wearing Pig, a streaking party-loving Fox and an ecstatic cockerel who just can’t believe he’s woken up to see another day, all make for a funny, light-hearted, family-friendly 90 minutes.

‘Peter Rabbit’ is now showing at the Light Cinema Wisbech. Visit www.wisbech.lightcinemas.co.uk for screening dates, times and tickets.
