In the top-of-the-table clash between the first and second place sides in Division 5C, Ely Crusaders and Houghton & Wyton, it was the all conquering Crusaders who came out on top 2-1 in a bruising battle.
In a bitty first half, Crusaders struck first from a corner, with Lewis Peacock heading in strongly, and that was the way it remained until the break.
Scott Fuller was the hero of the day for Ely as he struck the winner to elevate his side above their visitors to head the table with just seven games remaining.
