DEAN Everitt, the organiser of an anti immigration protest planned for Wisbech, believes UKIP is the only political party capable of putting an end to Bulgarians and Romanians coming into Britain.
“We have already seen they are coming here for benefits and a free life,” said Mr Everitt.
He said Britain is at breaking point “with the sheer volume of Eastern Europeans coming here taking homes and jobs. Not one home has been built or one job created yet one million have been let in,”
His comments feature in a four minute ‘party political broadcast’ provided by the new Fenland based Popcorn Community TV, many of whose interviews- but not this one- appear on community website Shape Your Place.
Mr Everitt tells Popcorn’s Tim Nightingale that people “are sick to death of being ignored.”
He said he had worked closed with UKIP since he felt “they are the only party that want to stop immigration.”
In his Popcorn broadcast Mr Everitt says it is no good putting money into Wisbech to improve the town “since the better you make it the more people are going to come here”.
A meeting was held in Wisbech today by those who oppose the stance taken by Mr Everitt and his supporters who have quickly established a 1,000 strong ‘ Wisbech Immigration Issues’ Facebook group.
Today’s meeting was called by trade union and other organisations to counter demonstrate in Wisbech Park at the same time as Mr Everitt’s so called ‘static’
