Umbrella Big Band to perform at Hiam Sports & Social Club in Prickwillow


Hiam Sports & Social Club in Prickwillow will host an evening of music and dancing to when The Umbrella Big Band perform on Saturday October 27.

The band has been playing music for almost half a century and their repertoire has always been focused on music for dancing. Expect to hear plenty of the ballroom and Latin variety plus lots of classic swing and jazz charts from the likes of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald as well as some pop numbers and more recent big band charts from Paul Anka and Michael Bublé.

Doors open at 7pm and there will be two intervals with locally produced jumbo sausages and quarter pounder burgers with a veggie option on sale in the first and a raffle to be drawn in the second. There is free parking too.

Tickets, which cost £8 for members and £10 for guests, are available from Veronica on 07842 146308, from the club during opening hours or on the door on the night if there are any left.
