Around 300 cannabis plants were recovered by officers from a property in Hasse Road, where a 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and possession of a firearm.

A 59-year-old woman was arrested at a property in Mepal on suspicion of producing cannabis. Both are in custody at Parkside Police Station.

The raids follow the discovery of a £6million cannabis factory in Regal Drive last week, where thousands of plants were discovered growing in a disused industrial unit.

  • It's good that the police have rooted out this lot, too, but I'd honestly prefer better news for Soham. We need to talk up the town and take pride in our community.
