Police confirmed today they are investigating an alleged robbery in Wimblington on Sunday but admit they remain “unclear” about the details.

Postings on Facebook suggest four intruders broke into a house off Honey Mead Road just before 9am and then attacked the occupants and stole cash.

A police spokesman said: “We are investigating reports of an incident at a property in Greenwood Way, Wimblington, at 8.45am on Sunday.

“The exact circumstances of what happened are still unclear; however it is being treated as an isolated incident.”

The county archives will move from Shire Hall to Strikes, in Ely.

Strikes Bowling Alley in Ely is to close and the building taken over by Cambridgeshire Archives.
