An annual charity motorcycle ride in memory of biker Phil Beeton will be taking place this weekend.
Phil’s Ride is a bicycle and motorcycle ride on August Bank Holiday Sunday open to anyone who would like to rock up on two wheels, in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Phil’s Ride started in 2016 as a memorial ride for Phil Beeton who lost his life in a crash on the A10 in Southery in October 2015.
Due to the swift action of the EAAA, they were instrumental in saving Phil’s nephews life by airlifting Jack to Addenbrokes Hospital.
The team, comprising family and friends of Phil, are hoping to repeat the success of 2017 and also encourage children to take part in their own course, mapped out on Southery playing field.
Last year, more than £12,000 was raised, with this year’s target set as £12,155.23 – 1p more than last year.
If you would like to take part, come to at The Old White Bell public house, Southery, from 11am onwards on August 26.
