A man from March is among six people arrested across the country for being members of an illegal far right-wing activist group.

Nathan Pryke, of Dartford Road, will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today in London for being concerned in the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

He is under suspicion of being a member of a proscribed organisation (National Action) contrary to section 11 of the Terrorism Act.

Proscribed means that an organisation is illegal.

Pryke is one of five men and a woman charged with being members of the banned far right group.

All six charged are:

• Nathan Pryke, 26, of Dartford Road, March.

• Adam Thomas, 21, of Waltham Gardens, Banbury, Oxfordshire.

• Claudia Patatas, 38, of Waltham Gardens, Banbury, Oxfordshire.

• Darren Fletcher, 28, of Kitchen Lane, Wednesfield, Wolverhampton.

• Daniel Bogunovic, 26, of Crown Hills Rise, Leicester.

• Joel Wilmore, 24, of Bramhall Moor Lane, Hazel Grove, Stockport.

Thomas is also charged with possessing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

Fletcher is also charged with five counts of breaching an anti-social behaviour order.

The arrests took place on Wednesday January 3 by officers from West Midlands Police Counter Terrorism Unit in conjunction with North West CTU, CT Policing South East, Eastern CTIU and EMSOU (previously EM CTIU).

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “The arrests were pre-planned and intelligence-led and there was no threat to the public’s safety.

“Searches at a number of addresses have been completed.”
