The Littleport and Ely Timebank held the successful Macmillan coffee charity event at Littleport’s Adams Heritage Centre which raised £232.40.

Roger Bramford, Timebank member, said: “We had a steady flow of visitors and residents which helped bump up the charity coffers.”

Roger was instrumental in publicising the event and therefore contributing to its success.

To help boost funds there was a tombola with plenty of goodies to win, including a specially donated homemade Timebank logo cake.

The winner donated it back to the group to raise more money.

Littleport adn Ely Timebank members meet every Thursday for a 10am coffee morning at The Heritage Centre.

They will be presenting their specially designed Timebank cake to Joanne Coe and ThePort youth group.

TimeBank is a national volunteering charity, started in 2000.

It recruits and train volunteers to deliver mentoring projects to tackle complex social problems.

They also work with businesses to engage their staff in volunteering.
