Jewellery and cash stolen in Burwell burglary - police appeal for information

Police are appealing for information about a burglary in Burwell in which jewellery and cash was stolen from a house.

Detective Constable Mark Beaven is seeking witnesses from the Toyse Lane, Silver Street and North Street areas of Burwell from Friday June 16 between 9am and 4pm.

DC Beaven said: “We are appealing for witnesses that may have seen any persons acting suspiciously or vehicles being driven very slowly.

“The information may help us to identify persons responsible for a house burglary which happened in Burwell on Friday.

“Jewellery and cash was stolen from the house and we are asking local jewellers and anyone who might be offered the opportunity to purchase jewellery to be aware of anything that appears suspicious or gives cause for concern.”

Anyone with information should contact the police on 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
