A drug dealer from London who was caught with cocaine and heroin in Ely has been jailed.

Jama Abdulaziz, 22, of Mostyn Grove, London, was arrested after police found him at an address in Morley Drive on May 29 last year.

Officers were in the area when they noticed a woman had run off when she spotted them.

They carried out a search at her address and Abdulaziz was found inside sitting on 10 packages of heroin worth about £100 and nine packages of crack cocaine worth around £90.

When officers asked him about the drugs he admitted ‘it’s mine’.

Abdulaziz pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply a class A drug at Peterborough Crown Court yesterday (Thursday). He was jailed for 27 months.

Sergeant Dan Bramley said: “We take drug dealing very seriously and will not tolerate this kind of criminality.

“Drugs generate further crime as users will often commit offences in order to pay for the substances.

“We hope that by cutting off this line of supply, it will have an impact on the drugs trade in Ely.”
