Residents at a care home in Littleport are getting to grips with a pair of brand new iPads - and they’re already giving staff a run for their money.
Staff at Laburnum Lodge, in Victoria Street, have purchased two iPads to help residents with dementia keep active, with a host of apps downloaded for them to use.
So far, residents have turned their hands to games of dominoes, done some painting and even a spot of online shopping.
And staff member, Martin Vilson said that some residents were already challenging the top scores – despite only having the devices for two weeks.
He said: “We have residents here who suffer with dementia and they have really enjoyed downloaded some apps and playing games on the iPads.
“It keeps their minds active and has been very popular. Although some struggled at first, they have been helped by staff and are getting very good.”
