Police are investigating the death of a man whose body has been discovered at Hinchingbrooke Park.

The body was found by a member of the public on Thursday afternoon and officers will continue to examine the scene of the incident during the weekend.

A popular park run which was to have taken place at Hinchingbrooke tomorrow (Saturday, February 3) has been cancelled because of the continuing investigations.

A police spokesman said: “Officers are currently investigating the sudden death of a man in Hinchingbrooke Country Park in Huntingdon.

“It was reported to the police by a member of the public at about 1.40pm yesterday (February 1).”

The spokesman added: “Officers will be at the park examining the scene over the weekend so we have, sadly, asked for this weekend’s park run to be cancelled.”
