There were cooking demonstrations on offer for visitors and a selection of samples to try courtesy of Ely restaurant Sylhet, based in Market Street.

The event was organised by dance teacher Kriti Sachdeva and the mayor of Ely Elaine Griffin-Singh, with all money raised split between the mayor’s charity fund and the GEN Initiative – a charity which works with the poor in India.
