FENLAND: Two more arrests into human trafficking and illegal gangmaster activity

12:16 02 May 2014

Two more arrests were made yesterday into human trafficking and illegal gangmaster activity across the Fens.

Cambs Police and the Gangmasters Licensing Authority announced today that two Lithuanian brothers are the latest to be arrested.

The men were arrested in raids on two addresses in the Wisbech area early yesterday.

One man was arrested at each address and both taken to Kings Lynn custody suite for questioning.

The suspects are aged 35 and 31.

A GLA spokesman said the men were questioned “in connection with an investigation into exploiting workers involved in harvesting agricultural crops as well as flower and food processing in the Fenland area.”

Both were released on bail to report back to police next month.
