The trailer and its contents, which included a large gazebo, display materials and a number of irreplaceable items, valued at about £6,000, were taken from the South East Falconry Group, Stow Cum Quy, on August 20.

Group chairman Gary Biddiss said: “The theft of our display material has left us all feeling distraught.

“We are not a commercial outfit just a group of like-minded enthusiasts and this theft has cleared us out of every piece of information and history of our club which we formed in 1981.

“In short, everything that we have worked to accumulate over the 33 years of our existence. The trailer can be replaced, but many of the items which were taken cannot.”

Anyone with information should contact 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
