An Ely woman is celebrating after being named as one of the winners of a nationwide interior design competition.

Abbi Pitt scooped a £500 prize after being selected as a winner of Anglian Home Improvements’ Styled By Me competition, which invited entrants to share their designs from their homes.

Abbi’s entry – a photograph of an outdoor seating area with candy-coloured furnishings and statement walls – was picked by guest judge and interior designer Sophie Robinson, known for appearances on BBC Two’s ‘Great Interior Design Challenge’ and ITV’s ‘60 Minute Makeover.’

Abbi said: “I am so honoured to have been selected as one of Anglian’s divisional winners. It came as a complete surprise to me as the standard of competition was incredibly high and interior design is just a hobby of mine!

“I enjoy trying out new ideas I come across on Pinterest and Instagram, and my outdoor seating area is one of my favourite experiments.”
