The Ely Arts Society, formerly known as ELY DFAS, will meet on Thursday October 19 from 7pm at The Old Bishop’s Palace.

The Ely Arts Society, formerly known as ELY DFAS, will meet on Thursday October 19 from 7pm at The Old Bishop’s Palace.

There will be an illustrated lecture by John Vigar entitled ‘Murder, Sex and Mayhem in English Churches’ at 7.30pm.

Surprising depictions of the macabre in stone, wood and glass and the stories behind them.

John Vigar is a professional ecclesiastical historian, author and broadcaster who has visited and recorded over 1300 churches in England and Wales.

Admission costs £7, visitors welcome.
