Eight people were arrested after they were discovered in the back of a lorry outside a food processing business yesterday.

Cambs Police were called to QV Foods, Glenthorn, March at about 2.30pm after banging was reported from inside the lorry.

When the driver opened the back of the lorry, he discovered eight people, who have been arrested on immigration offences and taken into custody.

A Cambs Police Spokesman said: “We responded to a report of a lorry pulling up outside QV Foods and banging that could be heard from inside.

“The lorry was making a delivery and was unaware of anyone in the back. When it was opened up, a number of people were discovered.

“They were arrested on immigration offences and have been taken into custody.”
