A fire crew from Wisbech was called to the flooded Welney Wash Road on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border at around 11am on Sunday (15).

A flood alert by the Environment Agency states the Welney Causeway A1101 is closed in both directions due to water levels remaining high following recent rainfall.

Despite no rain forecast over the next few days the river levels remain high.

Motorists are being urged not to attempt to cross the Welney Wash Road.
