Archant

Ely Standard reader Mary Neal is keen to trace some of the people pictured in this photograph.

Mrs Neal, from Ely, would like to get hold of a better copy of the picture and is appealing for anyone pictured, who may have a copy, to get in touch.

The picture was taken in 1972 and shows pupils from the Rackham Primary School, in Witchford. Mrs Neal’s son, Stephen, who was about eight at the time, is pictured kneeling in the front row, second from the right.

The pupils had just completed a fund-raising walk to raise money for a new swimming pool for the school. They are standing with Constance Glover, who was the school’s head teacher.

Anyone who can help can contact the Ely Standard on 01353 665521.
