Archant

Seven works vans were attacked in Littleport on Tuesday February 9 - police are now trying to identify a suspect using CCTV footage.

The image was taken from a private recording made in Fisher’s Bank, Littleport.

Police said: “While it is difficult to make out the facial features of the suspicious male - we believe that someone might be able to identify this lean individual with dark hair wearing a distinctive baggy looking jacket and jeans.

“The offender(s) are targeting tools and continuing to find them in the backs of vans,” police added.

“Our message to van drivers is clear - take the time to bring your tools inside at night. “Don’t leave your valuables in the van. Park in plain sight, near a camera if possible, and avoid secluded locations.”

If you know anything about this spate of vehicle crime, call 101 or CrimeStoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

  • It would be nice to be able to park in a lighted area, however since the streetlight replacement light con it is hard to find decent light. This will disappear between 0200 and 0600 anyway. CCTV doesnt work well in the dark
