Officers have released CCTV images of the moment the two men entered the shop with an axe and a knife in Walpole Road at around 5pm on Tuesday (October 23).

A worker refused to hand over cash to the pair and they instead made off with three bottles of alcohol worth more than £70.

DC John Cox said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the shop worker and for members of the public in the area at the time.

“I would urge anybody who recognises those pictures to get in touch of a matter of urgency.”
