Busy road closed as crews tackle van fire in Ely

A busy road had to be closed while firefighters tackled a van fire in Ely.

Police and fire crews were called to Queen Adelaide Way at about 3.20pm on Tuesday following reports that a van was on fire.

Police closed the road while firefighters battled the blaze for more than an hour.

The cause of the fire was accidental, by electrical equipment.
