Nearly half the funding for the play equipment came from WREN, a non-profit making body that distributes landfill tax credits. Further funds came from Awards for All and Haddenham Parish Council.

Baroness Scott, of Needham Market, also thanked pupils of Robert Arkenstall School for the hand-painted bunting, which decorated the park for the opening, and congratulated the council for the project’s success.

After cutting a ribbon, children enthusiastically joined in with playing on the new equipment and enjoyed a picnic.
