Arsonists set fire to 800 tonnes of baled straw in Stuntney last night (November 16).

One crew from Ely and one crew from Littleport were called to the stack fire near Quanea Drove at 8.38pm.

The stack was left with the farm to burn out safely and the crew returned to their station by 11.30pm.

The cause of the fire was deliberate. Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
