A man who died after being hit by a car in Chatteris last weekend has been named.

Robert Akers, 32, from Burnsfield Estate, was involved in the collision on Saturday July 7 on the A141.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said: “We were called at about 10.55am on Saturday to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on the A141, Chatteris.

“A man sadly died at the scene.” ‏
