Littleport Leisure Centre has hosted a Saturday morning parkrun 171 times as a trio of runners hit a century of parkruns.

The event has gained a reputation for being the friendliest of occasions.

And on February 4, it lived up to its name when an after-parkrun party was thrown in the bike shed for three runners who achieved the 100-parkrun mark.

Parkrunners Michael Fagan from Godmanchester, Ethan Cole of Little Downham/Littleport and Cathy Gibb-de Swarte of Littleport were joined by 122 other participants, quite a few of whom were from further afield.

The Woozby Nerberts of Cambourne turned up in tutus, as requested by the fancy-dressed Cathy!

And Ely rugby player Ethan wore a black tutu and tee shirt that had the words ‘Cathy made me wear this tutu’ emblazoned on the back.

Littleport baker Sue Dunlop made the celebratory cake and parkrunner Fiona Deem who hails from Ely, a delicious trifle.

Clive Baker, chair of the Ely Guild of Woodturners and keen parkrunner, made three medals that he gifted to the trio after the event.
